To minimize the amount of mineral deposits in your kettle, be sure to empty it after using it. You can do this by adding 1 cup of white vinegar and 3 cups of water to the kettle, heating it to a boil, turning it off, and letting it sit overnight. Alternatively, half a teaspoon of cream of tartar in half a kettle of water should work. After emptying the kettle, refill it with water only, bring it to a boil, and drain; repeat the refilling twice more.

Review: My first impression of this toaster was humorous. Put a bagel in set all the correct buttons and waited. When the bagel was done it was launched out the toaster and onto the counter, entertaining. Poor design to start with. Next, we noticed that toast and bagels were not done the same on both sides. Eventually only one side of the toaster worked. I tried to call Amazon and even they could not find the manufacturer and after 20 minutes gave me a phone number that was wrong. I wouldn’t purchase! No support and poor quality.

Title: Cute, nothing fancy
Review: It’s a perfectly fine toaster, nothing fancy. It does seem like it takes a long time to toast and I’m still struggling to figure out exactly what to set on the knob for how toasted I want things, but I haven’t really had any issues with it burning. I needed a very specific layout for my toaster because of where it is on my counter (4 slices, but long – not wide – with the controls on the front or the right side of the toaster), this is definitely the cutest one I could find that fit that description and wasn’t ridiculously expensive. It did have a weird smell for the first couple uses (almost like burning plastic?), bit that stopped happening quickly.

Title: glad I picked this one!
Review: I was looking for a long/skinny toaster to accommodate my kitchen counter setup. This one fits perfectly, and best of all it looks sleek and not bulky. I have not had any issues with the temperature settings and I love that I can finally toast longer slices of bread that didn’t fit in my old toaster!Just to note, the exterior does get quite hot so be careful touching it when removing your toast! (this has not been a major inconvenience though)

Title: This toaster toasts bread – but it is inexpensive.
Review: I liked the price, it does toast bread. It has a strong eject-spring that will throw the slice right out of the toaster. It will toast long, thick, heavy slices, provided you adapt to it.It does not toast evenly, and as a result, it takes some ‘user adaptation’ and extra time to achieve satisfactory results. The heat is not evenly distributed, so I usually leave the setting on “1” and rotate the bread from slot-to-slot, rotating in the slot(s) to achieve a measure of toasting done-ness. This process might take moving and toasting four times, hence the “extra time” factor.But it was ‘inexpensive”. Why can’t the consumer buy a decent toaster for a decent price these days?

Review: I thought based off other reviews this would be the one. But I tried it several times with different placements and never had any luck. Constantly one part would be burnt and another part was uncooked. Going to try a Zwilling long slot toaster.Edit: the Zwilling was even worse!
