Title: Great, looking toaster, and easy to use
Review: I really like the finish of this toaster. I like the styling, it’s a little bit retro but it fits in really well with the rest of my kitchen. The black goes really well with my black stainless steel refrigerator and black appliances. It’s got buttons on it for bagels, defrosting, frozen bread and to cancel if your toast is done before it pops up. I especially like the button to cancel toasting. As sometimes I can see that it’s done before it pops up and this is a simple push of a button and up it comes. I’ve had it for a couple of hours but I’ve already toasted some bread in there, and it came out toasted very evenly. There’s a bit of a smell on the first burn, but that will go away as I use it more. The dials for how dark you want your toast have numbers and little click stops as you make the dial turn for darker or lighter, which is very cool and it lets you know exactly what setting you are on for each side. There are two slide out trays in the back of the toaster to get your crumbs out after you toast bread or bagels. I thought this toaster was reasonably priced and it sure looks great in my kitchen. I’ve just gotten it so I can’t say how long it will last, but it looks like it is made to last a good long time.

Title: Toasters! Oh, for Crying Out loud.
Review: Once upon a time I procured my first 4-slice toaster from an estate sale for about $5.00. It became my forever toaster, until it didn’t. When one side stopped working I yearned to replace it.A nice looking Cuisnart CPT-142P1 caught my eye, and I promptly purchased it from Amazon. You must understand that I enjoy a bagel from time to time, and prefer it toasted like the local Bagel Shop toasts them. Well the Cuisnart toasts both sides of the bagel. So why does it have a bagel button on it? I can burn the back side of my bagels in the normal toaster mode just fine. So back it went.As my original toaster was a Kenmore it was decided to stick with a proven brand, what could go wrong? So off the order went for a Kenmore toaster. It toasted bagels properly; however it took 6 minutes whereas the old Kenmore did the job in 3 minutes. Come to find out it was slow in all modes. The elements didn’t even seem to light up. It’s a good thing Amazon loves returns. Off it went.Next I ordered an Amazon Basics 4-slice toaster. I’ve run the preliminary tests, and finally I think my new forever toaster has arrived. Title: The Best Toaster I Have Ever Used!
Review: This is, without a doubt, the absolute best toaster we have ever used. I bought another for a backup in case it was discontinued, and after a few years, still have not had to get it out.It actually does bagels correctly. You can toast just the one side! The other top brand toasters I have purchased has bagels listed as doable. Really? They only list it because the slot is wide. There is never an option for one side to be toasted. This toaster does true bagels. Huge necessity.It still toasts evenly after a few years. I have never had a toaster last this long.The crumb trays are easy and non-messy to empty and clean. This is a big plus.The toasting settings are excellent.The defrost setting is excellent.There is nothing about this toaster that I do not like.

Title: The five stars is because the price makes it good
Review: For the money, Amazon Basics brand delivers a good product. The toaster is functional and is easy to use with good toasting results. That being said, it is not sturdy as other pricier brands and the levers to start toasting are quite fragile feeling. I have no complaints about its performance a few weeks in. Let’s see if it lasts.

Title: Handles/levers of poor quality
Review: First one broke within the first year, second one just broke in year 3. We have treated this well, but the handles/levers are of poor quality. Spend the extra money if you want it to last. Otherwise cute design that fit well in our kitchen and it was nice to toast different widths and have different crispiness for different folks toasting at the same time.
