Title: If you like burnt toast!
Review: Loved the look of toaster and front controls. Burnt toast on 4 setting so I lowered it to little below 3 and still burnt toast. So I got my old toaster with side controls back out. It does toast and bagels perfectly on same setting-between 3 and 4. Would not recommend, especially at this high price.

Review: After turning it on 3x’s with nothing in it to get rid of that smell, I tried one piece of oval shaped sourdough bread and it fit in quite well. Also it toasted exactly like the photo in the manual and on this webpage. It really springs up when done. If more companies made their products like this the landfills wouldn’t be so full. Why can’t we have stuff made that last 20 years like they used to instead of 1 1/2 years like they do now (if you’re lucky). I am happy with it now so I hope I’m not dissatisfied in a month or two. It toasts on both side which the other 3 did not do well at all. Toast is nice and crispy. I’m happy with it so far. But keep it back from the edge of the countertop as the toast can pop out with such force it can land on the floor.So I’ve used it now about 6 times and it’s a bit inconsistent. The toast comes out well toasted but depending on what kind of bread it is it can be a bit too dry. A bit thicker bread is OK. Don’t bother with frozen bread because it’ll thaw it but dry it out at the same time. Just fresh bread works the best I find. But from the reviews I’ve read for at least 30 toasters there is not one that is as good as they were 25 or 30 years ago or even longer. I think it’s just luck if you get a good one, and that is cheap or expensive ones.
