Title: Reliable and easy to use
Review: I bought this recently to replace my previous black and decker toaster oven, which lasted for almost 10 years. This one is very similar. Itâs easy to use and is big enough to make dinner for two people. I can fit two chicken breasts or two salmon fillets on the pan I bought especially for this toaster oven. The one that comes with, it is really too small, but you can find a bigger one. Toasting feature works pretty well, but I usually wait to check When the toast is done, so it doesnât overcook. There is convenient, slide out crumb tray that you can easily clean. Itâs a good toaster oven at a reasonable price.

Title: Works great!
Review: I’ve had this toaster oven for about a month now and, after doing some scavenger hunting on the internet for instructions and a little trial and error, I think it’s going to pretty much replace my regular gas oven.Let me save you a little frustration as to the lack of instructions, especially pertaining to the convection feature. If you select the “Bake” setting, the convection feature is activated. There is no way to turn it off, which is actually fine. What I have discovered is, if I’m baking baked goods (cookies, muffins, etc) you need to decrease the baking temperature by 25 degrees or reduce the baking time by about 25 %, or both. If you reduce the temp, start checking for doneness about 3/4 of the way through the baking process. If I’m baking a casserole, which contains more liquids or the like(‘cream of’ soups, eggs, cheese, etc) I use the recommended temperature in the recipe and let it cook the full amount of time. I made a tuna noodle casserole last week and it was perfect using the recipe exactly as written.I haven’t used the broil feature for meat yet, so I don’t have a point of reference for that feature and, as I’m single and just make toast in a regular 2 slice toaster, I also don’t have a review for the toast feature (I don’t need 8 slices of toast at once.)What I LOVE about this oven is being able to use my regular pans! I had a smaller toaster oven before and got frustrated by having to buy special pans for it. I ended up buying a lot of disposable aluminum pans. With this oven, I can use all of my regular pans (I have several Pampered Chef ones that I wasn’t able to use in the old toaster oven) except for a couple of my larger baking stones. So far, everything has baked so much more evenly than in my full sized gas oven that I’m absolutely thrilled. So, as far as the way the oven functions and the results I’ve had when cooking with it, I am very satisfied with this oven. The only negative comment that I have about it is that the instructions are almost non-existent. An individual shouldn’t have to do 2 hours of research online and watch youtube videos to learn how to properly use this product. They really need to include an actual instruction manual, with a few recipes included for each feature of the oven, instead of a big sheet of pitiful basic instructions that are written in about a dozen different languages. I think that most of the negative reviews that I’ve seen could have been avoided if this were the case. Does the outside of the oven get hot? Yes, it’s a toaster oven, not an insulated range, so move it away from the wall. The crumb tray slides into the slots underneath the OUTSIDE of the oven, it doesn’t go inside and I believe this is the reason that so many people are saying it never gets hot enough. The convection feature comes on and stays on when baking, there’s no way to shut it off. All of this could should be explained in an actual instruction manual. My last comment pertains to the price. At $67 in November, this oven was a great value. Less than a month later, it’s $96!!!! Had it been this price originally, I’m not sure I would have purchased it.So, my review is A for the the oven itself, D for the lack of instructions and the $30 price hike just before Christmas.

Title: Great value and compact
Review: I love this little toaster oven!! Itâs works very well. I wonât complain about the size, because itâs meant for âtoastâ, however I wish it came with a visible temperature gauge. I bought a thermal gun for that reason and found that it is extremely accurate. It heats up quick and maintains the set temperature no matter how much you open and close the door. For the price it is definitely worth it, however it also lacks internal lighting. Itâs not much of deal-breaker if you have a flashlight or smart phone. I managed to find a small pan that just barely fit after I bent the the edges and I made some of the best 350 degree brownies!! The pan left no room for anything and I couldnât even look through to watch them cook as it was a perfect fit. Would not recommend this for anyone that wants to cook anything bigger than a loaf.

Title: toasts evenly, has a small footprint on the kitchen counter
Review: This is my third Black & Decker toaster oven. The others have given me long years of service (starting in college), but have eventually broken down (not bad for something costing about thirty bucks, though). Anyway, I’ve been happy enough with their performance that I went back for this one.My husband uses this more than I do and he is thrilled with it. We keep a loaf of bread in the freezer (so it doesn’t grow mold) and my husband has been using this to thaw and toast bread for snacks like peanut butter toast after work. (We use Nature’s Own whole wheat bread, which is on the smaller side in terms of slice size, and we generally only put two slices in there at a time.) Two slices sit nicely in the middle of the rack with room in the front and back. And the toasting is perfect — not too much and not too little, and with no frozen or soggy parts in the middle of the bread. (We also use this with hamburger buns when we make veggie burgers — we keep those in the freezer too, and toast them to thaw/warm/improve the texture.) I think it helps that there are heating elements on the top and bottom — no flipping toast in the middle, which also shortens the toasting time.We are not trying to make pizzas or bake anything in here, we pretty much just use it as a toaster (we don’t have a pop-up toaster as we appreciate the versatility of an appliance like this that isn’t limited to flat slices of bread; we have also put bagels in here). And it is great at that. We sometimes also use this to reheat roasted vegetables that we are eating as leftovers; it heats up more quickly than the regular oven and doesn’t add to the overall temperature of the kitchen much, which is important in Georgia when it is in the high 70s and 80s.This *is* a metal box with heating elements, so it is going to get hot. We pull it out from under the cabinets when it is in use and we make sure there is nothing around it. Then we unplug it and let it cool before pushing it back into place. These are common sense safety precautions we’d practice for any toaster, of course. (We have never set any food on fire with this. If you do, unplug the toaster and let it cool — don’t open the door or you are providing oxygen to the fire, which will only make it burn longer. I would not suggest starting this and walking off, though. It is not a regular oven. You need to stay in the kitchen and look at it from time to time to make sure everything is OK.)This has a small footprint on the counter (much smaller than the convection ovens that seem to be taking up the toaster aisle at local big box stores) so you can still work in front of it. It has a nice brushed stainless finish (that doesn’t match our kitchen at all, but whatever — if you have stainless appliances, this will fit right in with them). The bottom tray is easy to remove for cleaning and you WILL get crumbs in there if you use this often. We do usually line the little pan with foil if we are going to use it, as this cuts down on cleanup. This has little rubber feet and doesn’t slide around on the counter and the cord, while relatively short, is a reasonable length for most kitchen counter arrangements.Overall, we are happy with this and would purchase the same one if we had it to do over again.

Title:
Review: this item is well worth the counter space. manual dials are easy to use. I just set it at bake, 350, and leave those settings, just crank the timer up over ten minutes and back to 5 to warm things up. I got a better grade of stainless baking tray here , abt 14 bucks. As others have mentioned the unit gets hot if it’s on for a long time, but I allowed good space around it, and can warm up a plate on top so it’s fine. One thing worth mentioning is the fixed position of the centre rack, so you can only use it for items up to 1 3/4 inches high ie you have to slice a croissant in half. It bakes cookies fine and does an impressive job on scones, but anything higher would be too close to the top element.

Review: My oven worked fine for a couple of weeks.I found that the height is a little less though, like croissants touching the led on top.Because of that, the led stopped working and I am now struggling to get it fixed. The local representative has kept the product for a month and says he can’t do anything.I have to get help from Delhi or Bangalore.NOT WORTH the headache, frankly.

Review: Great little toaster oven! Excellent quality for the money just like every Black and Decker product I’ve owned in the past. This particular item was ordered for a friend and he is very satisfied with it. He says it heats up fast and does everything he needs it to. Well worth the price.
