Title: A Classic, No Frills Toaster Oven
Review: I threw out my big boxy air fryer for this smaller toaster oven. The air fryer was IMPOSSIBLE to clean and it filled my kitchen with smoke. Ugh! I like this appliance because I really don’t need to air fry anything. I just use it for simple toasting and baking … and this toaster oven is EASY to CLEAN. One thing: the name is kind of ridiculous as it is NOT a “pizza maker”. It will only heat up ready-made pizza…but not ‘make’ or properly ‘bake’ it from raw.

Title: You (almost) get what you pay for
Review: I bought this toaster oven in October 2019 to replace a nice Cuisinart toaster oven whose bottom element had warped and eventually, literally, flamed out after three years of everyday use. My criteria for its replacement were pretty basic: cheap, easy to use and clean, fairly small, attractive and stainless steel exterior. This toaster oven seemed to check all those boxes so I purchased it, $48.99 at the time. It gets used daily, sometimes even twice a day.Pros: small footprint; easy to clean; adequately (though not very evenly) toasts bread, English muffins, bagels, hotdog and hamburger buns. Operation is straightforward.Cons: it is very easy to burn your food due to the fussy timer dial – NEVER step away to do something else while you wait for your food to toast. The included pan warps when heated – luckily I saved the one that came with my previous toaster oven. And frozen appetizers and mini-pizzas always seem to need 10 minutes or more than the cooking directions state on their packaging; after several disappointing tries I finally just stuck to toasting bread products. So after adjusting to this toaster oven’s shortcomings for nearly two years, today I was horrified to find the bottom front corner inside the door is rusting. My guess is the moisture that naturally evaporates and then runs down the glass during toasting has been condensing at this spot, leading to the rust. As you can see from my photos I have taken excellent care of this unit, so the rust is not from any abuse on my part.So there’s my two cents – adequate but not spectacular results. I’m glad I didn’t pay what is being asked for it now. And now my search begins for its replacement as rust on an electrical appliance makes me very nervous….

Title: ANGRY WHITE LADY REVIEW.
Review: I didn’t start out angry when we first got this toaster oven. In fact, we loved it and it instantly became one of our most loved kitchen tools. It made perfectly, reliably toasted bread and tortillas every day for the past 10 months. Then one day, foul, grey, plastic-smelling smoke started coming out of it. Just a little at first, then very quickly it became LOTS of nasty, stinky smoke.First I looked at possibly buying an Asurion plan, which would mean paying for two months (at least) of coverage @ $17/month, then waiting a whole month for coverage to kick in before even getting an agent to possibly reject our claim. That didn’t seem like a good option, so I read the fine print in the Hamilton Beach warranty. They REALLY cover their asses, so chances are slim they would do anything for us but we could send them the toaster, though they absolutely will not cover shipping which from California would be $40 one way.TL;DR WE PAID $70 FOR A TOASTER THAT IS GARBAGE AFTER LESS THAN A YEAR. If you read the lower ratings you’ll see that our story is not unique! This is a junk product that has a short lifespan so it’s basically a waste of materials, time, money and a safety hazard to boot!!!I could not be more unhappy about this. It should be pulled off the market. IT SHOULD’VE BEEN PULLED OFF THE MARKET YEARS AGO. I see they’ve dropped the price on it by $10 since I bought it so it’s obvious they know they’re selling GARBAGE.

Title: Works fine!
Review: I like its small size; it fits well on my small countertop. It works great (though I’ve only been using it for a couple of weeks). Only issues are, as some others have noted already, the black printed numbers on the temperature knob are hard to read (print is small, black on the silver metal frame), and the whole oven outsides get very hot when cooking, so be careful not to touch it or leave anything sitting on top of it that could burn.
