Title: Amazing.
Review: I call this my Harry Potter toaster. It reminds me of the city bus in the Harry Potter movie that narrows itself to drive between lanes of traffic. It’s functional, lovely- a perfect unobtrusive but classy muted color- and incredible to fit into small spaces. I’m so proud that I got all my appliances into one little nook and opened up the rest of the counter space. Adulting win. It also toasts great. Slight smell the very first use, but does not continue.

Title: Defective from the get-go
Review: I am so tired of getting defective or low quality stuff and this is no exception. I was just going to put the toaster away when I got it to use another time. Good thing I didn’t. Upon getting ready to use it, I found that the toast holders weren’t right. One was in the slot, the other isn’t. If you press the control down, the holder that’s not in it’s slot comes together and the other one stays open. Great. A couple other things I noticed, that I would have ignored had it not been defective, are the finish, which is matt plastic in oat milk. It looks dingy and seems like it will stain easily. The second thing is the warning in large bold print: “PLASTICIZER WARNING CAUTION: To prevent Plasticizers from migrating to the finish of the counter top or table top or other furniture place NON-PLASTIC coasters of placemats between the appliance and finish of the counter or table. Failure to do so may cause the finish to darken, permanent blemishes may occur or stains can appear.” So, it appears they already know there’s an issue and they’re too cheap to use something else. Another interesting instruction from them is you’re supposed to store it in it’s box. Doesn’t that kind of defeat the “slim easy to store” claim and also make it less convenient to access. They don’t show that in their videos, so why do they include that in their instructions? Maybe because the material is so cheap or fragile, it needs protection? All I want is a toaster that toasts. Years ago I had one and it lasted for many, many years. Now I can’t even fine one that works, let alone lasts.
