Title: A Timeless, Well-Designed, Stainless Steel Toaster
Review: I’ve owned this toaster for nine years now and it still works. I don’t use it every day but I do use it.— DESIGN —In terms of design, I think my Cuisinart products were bought during their Design Golden Age (about ten years ago) because this is a classic, timeless design. Some of their current products looks too industrial to me. This toaster has a simple stainless steel elegance to it.There are four buttons on the “front”:• Bagel (I mainly use the bagel option; I *do* live in New York City)• Defrost• Reheat• CancelUsing it is simple: choose a number on the circular dial, which correlates to how *long* it toasts for, in minutes; pop your toast or bagels in; press the button down, and you’re done.— CLEANING —When you toast a lot, there are crumbs that fall to the bottom. This toaster has a crumb tray on the bottom that you can slide out and empty (and clean when it gets dirty).To clean the stainless steel, I recommend any stainless steel cleaning wipes and wipe in the direction of the grain. Mine still looks just like new because I maintain and clean it when it gets dirty.The rubber on the bottom four corners have fallen off over time and over apartment moves. I can added some rubber dots so that it keeps from sliding on the counter top.This is a well-designed, and well-made toaster. Nine years is a long time to own a toaster, but this design is timeless so the look will never get old. I hope it works for many more years to come. Recommended.

Title: Not the same quality
Review: Over the years I have purchases 3 of these toasters. 2 were 4 slice, of which one was a gift, one for myself. both of those were high quality. This one I purchase for myself and it is simply not the same quality. It is super, super light in weight, sort of flimsy. It does toast nicely, and I like the lift assistant. I was disappointed that the metal appears to be much thinner, and quality is noticeable not the same, high quality it once was. A less expensive toaster would have been just as nice as this because the low quality of the metal.

Title: Not like the original
Review: I had this same toaster for years and never had a problem but like anything else, it just didn’t toast like it used to. I purchased this exact model as my original thinking it would work the same. It does not! The cord on it is extremely stiff making it difficult to store or wrap without it becoming undone on it’s own. But worse than that, it doesn’t toast like the original. The dial to select how you prefer your toast is so flimsy. You can bump it and it will change the number. It’s as if you can spin it around. The original toaster had a definite weight to it where you select a number and it stayed there. With this toaster, I had to continually increase the ‘doneness’ of the toast because it was either ‘warm bread’ or only half the slice of bread came out toasted. Very disappointed in Cuisinart. The quality of this toaster is nothing like the original.

Title: Affordable and High Quality Item
Review: My trusty toaster of many years finally died. Over the course of the past six months, I tried to replace it with another toaster and two toaster ovens, none of which was able to produce a decent piece of toast. Fortunately, upon doing more research, I happened upon this Cuisinart toaster. I simply love it. It’s easy to use, with all functions easily visible on the front of the toaster. The pull-out crumb tray is easy to access. The cord is long enough such that if one uses the toaster under upper kitchen cabinets, it can be temporarily pulled forward. What I liked as much as the toaster itself was the accompanying instruction booklet, which was very explicit and well-written. When following the suggestions for the temperature and timing of the item to be toasted, depending on the type of bread, whether it’s frozen, etc., this toaster produces a perfectly toasted item each time. In addition to all of this, the toaster is attractive enough to leave on the countertop in plain sight. I am extremely happy with my new toaster!

Review: So far toaster does what it should. The bagel setting and cancel are handy to have. The lever to raise toast that is small only raises the toast a small amount, wish it could be higher.
