Title: Awesome toaster
Review: Love the design and the fact that it is a four slicer. Large slots for my bagels and it toasts evenly. Did have to play with the setting a little to get it set on my toast preference. But all in all it was pretty simple to figure out. Very pleased with it.

Title: If Goldilocks had this toaster – she would say “It’s just right!!” Finally a perfect toaster.
Review: All I ask of a toaster is this: lower my bread into the slot, heat it until it’s the golden color I chose, then send it back up. Don’t make me pop it up and down multiple times to see if it’s burning, or not cooking, don’t make me flip it around to toast the other side. And could you please do the same thing the next day? This toaster actually does its job. It’s FABULOUS.2 people in the house. Both like a different shade of toast. We don’t use big or fat bread – just basic, artisan sized grain bread. This toaster has some perfect features to accommodate for most anything – my favorites: 1. Memory feature: his and hers for us. 2. Quick View button: is my toast burning or not cooking? One touch of the button for a peek without resetting the timer. 3. +30 second button: okay, wish my toast was a tiny bit browner, but I don’t want to burn it – this is your go-to feature.On top of that, mechanical lower and raising of the bread – quiet and zen-like – not a fan of slamming the levers.And did I say it actually toasts my bread on both sides!!! Thank you.(My toast is more golden that it looks in the photo’s – it’s a tan/brown color bread).Let me also say this: it’s a crapshoot whether the heating coil cards on any toaster come out of the factory working like they should. They all use the same parts made at the same place using the same lower quality components than what we had in our life before. If you can find a toaster that does its job, looks like you want and fits your budget – it’s a good thing.No, it’s doesn’t make the buzzing sound some mentioned in reviews. If you use super thick, super long bread, this isn’t for you – find a toaster that’s made for that. (Don’t try jamming oversized bread in – yes, you will ruin the mechanical raise/lower feature). The cord length is just right. If you’re toasting 1 slice – use the 1 Slice button – it’s made to adjust the heat for just one slice (doesn’t matter which side). It actually comes with a paper instruction guide – read it.This was our third and final attempt at finding a replacement toaster. For us it’s perfect. PS – all of my family and friends that have a Duolit happen to have them all on the blink right now 🙂 Even the “premier” of toasters fail.

Title: Buy the Extended Warranty.
Review: This is the second time I bought this identical toaster. This has more features than any other toaster you can buy on the market. And all the features work great. But I have to question the durability of this toaster. It seems after two years it starts to malfunction. My problem was that the heating elements on one side of the toast burned out. Both elements on the right side burned out. SO one side of the toast was not toasted while the other was. And this defect affected the two slices of toast on the right. But with a four-slice toaster I still had the ability to toast two slices on the left side. Though I love the toaster, even with all the great modern features, I believe it is overpriced. But you will fall in love with this toaster. With the extended warranty which cost me $7.00 two years ago the extended warranty was well worth the investment. So if you buy one you might as well get the extended warranty on it too.

Title: Beautiful toaster but it still doesn’t toast both sides of the bread!
Review: We keep the digital toasting numbers on 3. One side of the bread is toasted perfectly while the other side is toasted but lacking color – still white. Doesn’t matter – the toast is good and the toaster is really quite nice looking so I would absolutely recommend it.

Review: Apologies for the length of this review, but…We, a Cuisinart household, started this review with a sense of anticipation. After our trusty old Cuisinart toaster finally gave up, we were eager to try out the new 4-Slice Motorized Toaster-CPT-540. The top controls were a promising feature we were excited about.That’s where the excitement ended. We went through the warranty process after a few weeks because of all the burnt bagels on BOTH sides. On the old toaster, the bagel setting was great because it only toasted the cut side of the bagel, which we found to be the perfect balance of crispiness and softness. We used a setting of four and only toasted one side. The bagels turned out great. With the new toaster, we used caution and a level two setting. It burnt BOTH sides AGAIN, and I had to throw the bagels away. We tried a setting on one and got the SAME result. We returned it.Now, we find ourselves in a situation we never expected—having to use our LG oven to toast our bagels. Even our wheat toast, when set at four, comes out burnt. We’ve had to adjust to a setting of two for our toast, which is not what we signed up for when we bought this toaster.Our disappointment with the drop in Cuisinart’s quality is profound. This experience has not only left us with burnt bagels and toast but also led us to seriously reconsider our loyalty to this brand. It’s a pity, they used to be so reliable.I had your previous motorized four slice motorized toaster, and the bagel setting only toasted the one cut side of the bagel. This one toasts both sides when a bagel has been selected.

Review: I bought this toaster as a gift for my dad for Father’s Day to replace his toaster that was starting to go on the fritz after a decade of daily use. The box was completely smashed up. It looked so horrible that my first thought was that it may have been returned. The box was also unsealed. It hasn’t been used from what I could tell, but I was disappointed with the presentation given that it cost $120CND. I was even more disappointed with the materials used in manufacturing. It’s a very cheap material and half the weight of the previous toaster. I can appreciate why one reviewer stated that the toaster arrived with a dent. This material is seems “delicate” for a toaster! It also leaves a lot of fingerprint marks just touching it. The plastic smell which most new toasters give off was bad but dissipated after 4-5 tests of the toaster. It’s fine. It works. The digital features are very good and clear, hence the 4-stars. I’m questioning the quality and durability overall. If I picked this up in a store, I would likely have kept searching for a better manufactured toaster. That said, I read reviews for at least a dozen other toasters — on Amazon, Walmart, Hudson’s Bay, Consumer Reports — and, frankly, it seems that this was actually one of the better ones. We’ll see. I’ve stored the box and will update this review if it needs to be returned or replaced on warranty. Just very disappointed with the lack of quality I expect from my staple kitchen brand Cruisinart!
