Title: The last one lasted 13 years – hopefully this one does, too!
Review: My old De’Longhi toaster oven finally died after 13 years and thousands and thousands of uses, and I chose this one to replace it.It does a great job, comes to temperature quickly, toasts great, and is easy to use. It’s a bit bigger than the older models, but it fits perfectly in that weird space on my counter under the cabinet and next to the fridge that’s unusable for anything else! As others have noted, the design of the door handle means it doesn’t open 100% of the way unless you have it positioned over the end of the counter, but that hasn’t stopped me from being able to take things in and out, change around the shelves, etc. – all without searing my knuckles on the elements! The only thing I really don’t love are the control knobs. They’re finicky, not intuitive, and you can’t get the precise control you could on the older models. I’ve learned how to work with it, but honestly, it’s an overengineered solution for something that needs to be just a simple knob. But other than that, I love it, and hope it lasts as long as my last one!

Title: So Far So Good
Review: Received the DeLonghi Countertop Convection Oven today, it arrived in great shape and is a replacement to my Breville 845 that couldn’t even make it to the 2 year mark, used the refund from the extended warranty to purchase this oven. Comparing the two ovens, the DeLonghi has a more substantial feel to it, probably due to the double wall glass door construction. The controls are different than the Breville 845. The outside of this oven is supposed to be cooler due to the double wall door construction (at 450 degrees top was still pretty warm), but they still recommend minimum distances be maintained. Was concerned about the Breville 845, the outside really got hot, customer pics showing items jammed right up to the Breville oven are unwise. This oven has two racks, the Breville had one. The fan on this oven is very, very quiet vs the Breville which is very, very loud. This oven has a light on while cooking, my departed Breville did not. This oven has a slow cook feature, however, it is not shown as a feature on the oven screen (it is in their owner’s manual). Both ovens have a 1 year warranty, this is a crap shoot, the Breville only lasted one full year (plus a few months), if had not purchased the extended warranty would have been an expensive year plus some months’ worth of use. “Once burned, twice shy”, this oven may last years, but a bad experience makes one cautious, so purchased the extended warranty. My rating is expecting the best out of this oven, so it is optimistic. Not pre-judging this oven, that is up to how well it performs. Ease of use, is down a star because still learning the oven, but so far so good. Will update this review as become more experienced in using this oven.Update: Pizza 10.20.2018DeLonghi oven does not preheat and recommends pizza be placed on the bottom rack, cooked frozen pizza exactly as directed. The pizza was “almost” perfectly browned on the top, the surprise was that the bottom of the pizza (crust) was brown, the pizza never got “wimpy” after removing from the oven. Was skeptical on the lack of preheat because am a “control” freak, by today’s standards (came up old fashion when it comes to cooking). But, their way worked fine.Breville oven directs to preheat, which is common in baking, directs to put pizza on the rack in the middle position. The pizza was almost evenly cooked as well, but no matter how I adjusted the cook time, never could get a brown bottom crust. The crust ultimately became wimpy. Breville is more traditional in their directions. Both times cooked on the bare rack. Like a brown crust bottom, so prefer LeLonghi pizza.

Title: So far so good
Review: I’ve only had this for a few days, but it’s performed quite well so far. It looks decent, has a pretty good capacity, stays reasonably cool. Absolutely maddening to use, but I doubt if any of the others are better- they insist on putting these idiotic electric brains in everything; it would be so much easier with just on-off, temperature, and convection on/off controls, but we soldier on. I’ve tried a couple of the pre set programs; the “cookies” setting worked pretty well with a pretty average sort of dough; the “pizza setting” was less successful and took almost 20 min. for a thin crust pizza, but it may be as well as you’ll do with an oven that only reaches 450 degrees. The accessories that come with it are OK- a perforated pizza pan would work better than what they give you, and a cookie sheet or two would be great; then again, it’s gotten pretty hard to find a regular size cookie sheet, and most of what’s available is insulated (ie useless). Actually, the supplied pizza pan has embossed lettering so deep that it actually holds much of the crust away from the bottom of the pan, so that’s not so good. There is a sort of sheet pan (I thought for a while that it was the bottom of the oven. It is not, however, flat- there’s a large raised rectangle in the middle with embossed lettering, so it’s pretty much useless for baking. The big question with these ovens is durability, which of course I can’t tell at this point; the heating elements are metal rods, which are reputedly more durable than quartz elements, and the electronics seem to be pretty well protected from heat, but it’s hard to be sure. The glass door is hinged at the bottom; this is probably the most convenient for loading the oven and placement, but it does make it vulnerable if you drop or spill something while loading/unloading the oven. The signal buzzer is nearly inaudible from more than a couple of feet, so not very useful. The included accessories are solidly built but poorly designed, a surprise from this company.

Title: We have winner!
Review: After three (3) different Cuisinart toaster ovens failed to bake biscuits without burning I came across the DeLonghi. As you can see the baking was even, golden and I got plenty of lift ðI highly recommend!

Review: Works really well, especially for pizza. Minor complaint would be the selection knobs. They’re a bit cheap feeling.

Review: Beatiful design. Cannot register machine because web site only allows accept U. S. buyers. Everything works except changing temperature to degrees C. Non-stick interior makes clean up easy. Machine does not smell while cooking and exterior is not scorching hot.
