Title: Nice Compact Toaster Oven
Review: This is a nice compact toaster oven. Doesn’t take up a lot of counter space, just 13 1/2 inches wide. It does say in the operating instructions to place unit on a cutting board which I did because some countertops like laminate (I have) and a couple of other types may damage them, unit does get hot. Max temp adjusts to 450 degrees. Has a timer knob and dings when time ends. Also, it does say to run unit for several minutes before first using because it smokes a little. After 10 minutes mine stopped smoking. I also wiped the inside with damp cloth and washed tray and wire rack to remove any residue.Haven’ t cooked anything yet in it. Comes with a wire rack and a tray.

Title: Works Well in Special Circumstances
Review: This compact unit is in no way a replacement for the toaster oven found in most kitchens. However, I had a very particular usage in mind when I purchased it — a nice amenity for the camper conversion of my Honda Odyssey. For that purpose, it serves very well indeed.Pros: compact, lightweight, simple controls, attractive appearance, terrific price pointCons:1) Due to its lightweight construction, it gets very hot. Attention should be paid to where it is placed and used. I have this toaster oven sitting on an insulated countertop in my van. The designers were careful to include sizeable feet/bumpers underneath and behind the unit which helps reduce any danger of fire or damage. All the same, the unit should be monitored closely in your particular environment until you can be confident of its location. Avoid touching the unit while it is operating, as the thin metal shell is VERY hot to the touch.2) Heating is very uneven, front-to-back. Not a big problem. If toast begins to be overdone in the rear of the unit, simply use kitchen tongs and apply a 180 to whatever is inside.Net: Not perfect, but meets my particular needs very well. Highly recommended.
