Title: A bit pricey, it works well
Review: Been using this toaster for about two weeks now and it’s been working quite well. As some others have noted, the coils on the inside wall of the toaster don’t turn red or get as hot as the outside, but the bread still comes out toasted at least as well as my old toaster oven – prob better actually. It’s very simple to use and pretty well thought out. My kids, 7 and 5, LOVE that they can use it and see exactly what to expect from which setting. My seven year old is using the favorites setting because she likes the colored hearts – which I think is a bit gimmicky- but has its uses.My five year old did burn his finger badly enough to blister when, standing on the floor and unable to see the top, reached his hand up and touched it – while I was there next to him showing him how to use it – but quicker than I could react, so please don’t think this is kid safe. Its not. It’s a real toaster and gets quite hot along the top, though there is a warning symbol right there telling you it gets hot.So this is not to blame the toaster in any way – that was purely a learning experience for my son – but to warn that it should still be used with caution.It definitely fits square shaped bread better, and toasting something like rye or round bakery bread will have a third of the bread sticking out the top.Though it does offer a number of options for bread, it doesn’t cover everything and you can’t add anything yourself. But that’s where the favorites come in. It’s great that you can select from fresh or frozen bread, and really nice that it has a reheat function if your toast has gotten cold.As for the screen and tech, I do wish that it was WiFi or Bluetooth enabled, soley for the reason of updating firmware and adding future functionality, as I don’t see much need to control a toaster from an app. But as an example, for the screensaver it allows you to choose between a digital or analogue clock. Having young kids I chose digital, and set the time correctly. I happened to walk by later that day around lunch time, and noticed that the screensaver time said 12:32 AM, despite the time being set correctly for PM. In the scheme of things a very minor mistake, but one that will be there forever because there is no way to update the firmware. So the screensaver is now set to analogue. No biggie.Lastly the toaster looks mint, and having a toaster with a Digital Touch screen is just cool – completely unnecessary – but cool. The question becomes, is this really cool feature worth spending $100 on, when you could get essentially the same thing with dial controls for $30…?Idk 🤷 – I like having it, my kids love it, and it works well. But there are a few more steps involved in toasting then just turning a dial and pulling a lever, and more electronics means more parts to fail down the road. So if you want those features and the price doesn’t phase you, this is certainly a worthy contender.

Title: Nice screen, uneven toasting of bread.
Review: So to start I need to give a disclaimer that I have only used this to cook white bread. I don’t use a toaster for much else as we rarely get waffles or taster pastries, and I wasn’t going to buy those for this review.The toaster itself is heavier than most toasters and seems very well made. The screen is very vibrant and responsive to touch. It has cool effects where as you choose the time of how long you want it to cook it will visually show about how you should expect the food to look. While it’s toasting it shows what you’re cooking and how much time is left with a ring countdown timer you can cancel anytime and it will pop up. You can also change the time display settings and the background from dark to bright. Overall I’m very impressed with the screen.Now for the actual toasting. So in my first before and after pictures I chose the white bread setting 3 which is 1:35 cook time. When my toast came out one side looked similar to the picture on the toaster option I chose but the other side was much less toasted but still crispy. It also seemed to cook more toward the top than the bottom. So I tried again with setting 4 which is 1:50 cook time. The results were the same just more toasted but this time I looked down in the toaster while it cooked and saw the problem which you can see in my photos. I don’t know if this is a defect or intentional but while toasting the coils on the outside get super bright but the inside coils are waaaay less bright which explains why it’s not toasting one side as much. I really dislike this as I’m concerned if when my kids want waffles or pop tarts are they going to undercook one side? Even more strange I did try another piece of toast, which also cooked unevenly, but what’s so strange is the undercooked side was the side facing the outer brighter coils! Maybe it’s cycling heat from one side or the other, but my point still remains that it cooks unevenly, and all three pieces were toasted more towards the top.I will say, however, for simple toast this isn’t THAT big of a deal, but in the near future if I get anything else to toast I will definitely update this review with those results. This was a very hard 4 stars. I will say more of a 3.5 star product so far, but depending on the results of further use and toasting other products I will adjust the stars if needed.EDIT: Got a box of those Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis and my wife cooked them on waffle frozen setting of 3 which is 1:50 and the pics are above. She said they were perfect and exactly how she wants them.
